Viewing HaynesPro Technical Data on a Document
HaynesPro opens from the document you are working on, already pointed at the vehicle. From there you can read repair times, service schedules, torque settings, wiring diagrams and manufacturer recalls for that exact vehicle.
Opening HaynesPro
Open the document for the vehicle you are working on. This can be a jobsheet, a service estimate, a vehicle inspection estimate or a vehicle inspection checklist.
Choose the Lookup tab and select HaynesPro Technical Data .
HaynesPro opens straight on the Schedules tab for the vehicle on the document. There is no confirmation step to work through.
Changing the vehicle
The vehicle is identified from the registration number and VIN on the document. If the wrong vehicle has been matched, or the registration finds nothing, you can pick the right one by hand.
Choose Change vehicle in the top-right corner.
If the VIN has already narrowed the choice, the likely vehicles are listed with their engine code, capacity, power and model years. Select the correct one.
If none of them is right, choose All manufacturers and select the make from the list of manufacturer logos. Use Type to filter to find it quickly.
Select the engine and vehicle type from the list that follows.

Check the engine code and capacity before you select, not just the model name. Most models are sold with several engines, and the repair times and service schedules differ between them.
Finding your way around
The sections appear as a row of tabs across the top. Choose Full screen in the top-right corner to give yourself more room, which is worth doing on a tablet.
Sections vary by vehicle. Not every vehicle has data in every section, and some sections only appear when the vehicle needs them.
Safety
High-voltage safety precautions. Appears on electric and hybrid vehicles only, and is always the first tab when it appears
Repair Times
Manufacturer labour times by category, with the parts each job needs
Schedules
Service schedules by mileage or time, with the parts and check tasks for each
Timing Belt/Chain
Replacement interval and the full removal and installation procedure
Repair Manuals
Step-by-step procedures such as bleeding the brakes or de-energising a high-voltage system
Technical Drawings
Component diagrams

Reading the two times
Repair Times and Schedules show two figures against each job. The figure in brackets is the HaynesPro book time. The bold figure beside it is the time you will charge, once your own labour uplift has been applied.
The uplift comes from the Labour Time Adjustment table, the same table Autodata uses, so both data sources are charged on the same basis. Bands are set by book time and the result is rounded up to the nearest 0.05 hours. With a 25% uplift on jobs under an hour, a book time of 0.20 h shows as (0.20 h) 0.25 h.

To change the bands or the percentages, search for Labour Time Adjustment and edit the table. Because it is shared with Autodata, any change you make there affects both.
Searching for an operation
Rather than working down through the categories, you can search the whole list.
Choose the Repair Times tab.
Type what you are looking for in the search box, for example brake pads .
Choose Search .
Results come back from every category, each with its category path underneath it, for example Brakes (Mechanical) › Checks - Adjustments. Tick the ones you want exactly as you would in a category list. Choose Back to categories to return to the full list.

Bookmarking HaynesPro to your Role Centre
Choose the bookmark icon in the top-right corner of the viewer to add a shortcut to your Role Centre, so you can reach HaynesPro from your home page.
